Now we are firmly in the arms of 2018, it must be time for an update! Emily has been taking some all-important family time over the festive season, while working away behind the scenes for PAD Productions, who will be expanding into Wales and the South-West over the coming months.
Emily has also been working with a number of companies, including VAMOS TC, who shortly begin their tour of ‘A Brave Face’ (every show accessible to d/Deaf audiences), and Sarah Gatford Ltd, for whom she returned to direct the third instalment of the increasingly important ‘The WISE Project’ – a series of live shows, devised and performed by Deaf artists, aimed to improve the education of d/Deaf and SEN groups around internet safety.
During December, Emily also returned to work with Ernie Sparkles, cabaret master extraordinaire, as both Ombre La Noir, the black and white shadow creature of Ernie’s nightmares, and an entirely useless, panic-stricken HR manager trying to restore order to the Sparkles HQ Christmas Party, both at Wales Millennium Centre. You can probably guess which role didn’t require too much acting…
